The work made in China became a personal story based on an intense experience, in a nation that was opposite of my roots. Living my daily life in China was like stepping in a roller coster and finding my balance again. More and more the time went by I knew it was at heart all about my comfort zone that I left, experiment materials and sharing ideas. I became this character figure watching the facades in China, understanding their perspective and the fairy-tale became real.

The Hare shapes are in origin figurative myself. I was drawing every night and using these imagery in my work. The hare is also a symbolic figure used there in many ways, from food to fortune and just came back to me in every path I took. I wanted to cut a slice of the controversy side of life in my work specially after doing the Dutch Disturbance series. This series is again very figurative, made with local craftsmen and experimenting with the new available options.
