Collaborating with other designers is one of the big driving sources that support discussion about work and the environment we place it in. How thoughts combine, subjects being deepened or just initiatives are realized. Together with friend designer Sharon Geschiere we showed in April ‘07 collection of work at Legiokunst in Tilburg (NL).
Some pieces where discussed together but also supported with recent own work. Reasoned with the love for discussion amongst design with friends and the combination of work that seemed so different. Functional strait forward utility products combining figurative story telling pieces.
“Sharon Geschiere is a designer who shares this process discussion with me and has same passion for a lot of subjects.” says Van den Boom. “ Design and ceramics are for me elements that go beyond product design. It’s a state of mind, a exploration from idea to an end result what can manifest itself in various ways. We should not limit ourselves by the clichés design can corner itself in.”
The exhibition will show a different showcase, with work made in London, China and work collaborated with Sharon Geschiere. It will tell a story about the process, from scratch looking in the visualization of ideas.
